Stories for my Plumber - cute blur OWL sittin in a tree

Upon a branch
Serene
Tranquil
Contemplating
What's for dinner?
I think it likes cheese
While flying in the breeze
Rising higher and higher
It's raining
Dazzle
Sheen
Out of my trance

Oh, really?

Stories for my Plumber - These Words

These words

I can't think of anything
What should I write?
Nothing comes to mind
Tis the writer's block they say
Impedes that that churns the mind
Nourishes the pen
And enriches the papyrus
Alas I fear it may not be
Though the symptoms are similar
I know it be a different affliction
It comes once every four seasons
Invades my creative juices
Destroys my writing streak
Which normally comes unhindered
Daily my words fill the electric net
And brings joy to all who is audience to it
Such gracious prose
Never ceases to inspire
Nor malign the layman's palate
Thus it is a great infraction to the entire mankind
That such words be not received
Pray understand
He refuses to liberate my tongue
I beseech you
Be wary of the beast that steals your voice
No more song
No more speech
No more honest declarations of the soul
Mirthless days are before us
Even those without prophecy
Can see the gloomy days ahead
But friends! I implore you
Have strength and stand fast
The exorcist is coming
To drive the monster within
Back to its swampy lair
And once again my public shall
Receive these words again

Stories for My Plumber - Stupor

My eyes droop. My head sags.

The lecturer drones on and on.

I struggle to maintain my concentration. This is an important lecture, they told me. She’s giving a talk that would define my career, they told me. Your entire future depends on you passing this exam, they told me.

The lecturer drones on and on.

Stars swim into my view. In retrospect late night television isn’t such a good idea. It doesn’t help that this is the driest subject on the planet. Or that the lecturer is a monotonous robot. I grip the sides of my chair. I must maintain focus.

The lecturer drones on and on.

Five minutes pass. A swirl of colours in my head.

The lecturer drones on and on.

My friend leans over and whispers in my ear. Something about the lecture, so I nod my head. My sight and hearing are blurring. A cute penguin caresses my head. He is singing a lullaby. I smile as my shoulders relax.

The lecturer drones on and on.

I try to suppress a yawn. I fail. Swirling cotton candy and peppermint spray. Through the sweet haze I notice the lecturer talking about the same thing over and over again. Why isn’t anyone else getting bored?

The lecturer drones on and on.

I lean my face on my right palm. Mr Penguin is joined by Mr Albatross. Their dance on the sugar cake makes me giggle. The class laughs at the lecturer’s joke.

I hear them call me.

The lecturer drones on and on.

I am standing alone on an iceberg, in the middle of a frigid sea. The sky is dark and a storm is coming. Mr Penguin reaches out. He smiles at me.

The lecturer pauses.

I take his wing and fly to a world of penguin dreams.

The lecturer drones on and on.

story n question

One gets used to the rain. The human mind can adapt to many things given the time. Being born in Forks, I never felt the gloom associated with the dreary weather like many of the other locals or visitors. I never saw what was so bad about living in a place that had rain more than 300 days a year.
Today, however, was different.
Panicked thoughts surged through my brain as I struggled to find the words I wanted to say. Don’t leave. Please stay. I need you. Do it for us. But I stood there speechless as Renee packed the last of her bags an walked to the door.
“Don’t worry about your money,” she said through poorly disguised tears. “I won’t ask for any of it. My lawyer said we can make this as amicable as possible.”
But I don’t care about the money.

Rumack et al are quoted to saying that a detailed examination of the foetal neck is not a standard part of the ultrasound examination of foetal anatomy.

However, certain abnormalities, masses that appear in the region of the neck can be significant ultrasound findings. Abnormal findings of the neck will in most cases require careful patient counseling and management
